The sea is safe for children, as it doesn't have an abrupt depth (it just reaches the knee at a distance of 15 meters from the shore). The nature surrounding the area is magnificent. The landscape from the accommodation is excellent, providing a clear unobstructed view of the Ionian Sea, the island and the islets of Vardiani, as well as the picturesque port of Kounopetra. The whole Casa del Mare residence consists of three (3) apartments, from which, for the time being, only one (1) is available for leasing. This apartment is on the first floor with lots of amenities: fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, large living room and bathroom, autonomous cooling/heating system (regulated independently for each room), hot water, independent entrance and private parking. We are Nikos and Vasso. We have studied economics, married with two children (both college students in universities in Athens, Medicine and Economics respectively). We've built this residence with a lot of love, because it was always a dream for both of us. We take care of the house ourselves and we are available for our guests at any time of the day to assist them, always with discretion, wishing them to feel as at their home.
The area of Kounopetra is unique. The neighborhood is quiet and lightly populated. The surrounding nature is magnificent and the landscape is wonderful. At a short distance from the accommodation are located many beaches, such as Mania, Koutalas, Ksi, Megas Lakkos. A little further away can be found the beaches of Petani, Myrtos, Plati Gialos, as well as attractions that can be visited on foot, by bike (offered free of charge at the property) or by car, such as: Kounopetra, a flat land rock, most of which is below sea level. Started hundreds of years ago, it moves slowly and with the same frequency from east to west. This movement is visible to the naked eye, as these movements are 20 per minute. In the past, the British navy tried to move the rock, but without success. The river (1.5 km from the accommodation), located on the Vrachynari sandy beach, is about 250 meters long and empties into the sea. It is an excellent wetland, with a great variety of fish and birds. The monastery of "Panagia in Kipouria" (10 km from the accommodation), with many sacred relics, excellent view and amazing sunset in the Ionian Sea.
