EOS is in a spectacular location. She is one of the three bungalows of the small-scale accommodation Footscapes of Crete. This location with three beautifully renovated and modernly furnished holiday homes is located on top of a mountain (466 meters high). No mass tourism. The view all around is breathtaking. You look out to sea, on the mountain Psyloritis and on the mountain range the Lefka Ori. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and peace seekers. The holiday home is bright, spacious and modernly furnished. It has two terraces, at the front and the back. The cottage is very well equipped and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a good meal. During the construction of the accommodation, the privacy of each house has been taken into account, separately.
Guests have the opportunity to get in touch with real Cretan life. In the neighborhood are several small villages, where the inhabitants are still genuinely interested in you. They speak to you on the street, where you are from and sometimes they put a candy or sandwich in your hands for on the way. We let you experience the hospitality of the Cretans and let you see and experience the real authentic life of the Cretans. Peace and nature are key words that indicate where you end up when you choose this holiday home.
Griffon vultures regularly fly over the houses, because they build their nests in the hills nearby. A true paradise for birdwatchers with bee-eaters, eagles, hawks, eagles, hops and many other birds. The starry sky is very special. Because there is no light pollution, you can observe thousands of stars with the naked eye. Sometimes it seems like you can touch the galaxy. A very special place. Footscapes of Crete is located just outside the picturesque village of Kástellos, close to Armenia. However small and quiet, everything is available here. Tavernas, kafenions and supermarkets are not far away. In the town of Rethymnon (12 km) you can stroll along the boulevard next to the kilometer-long sandy beach and through the narrow streets in the old town. You can enjoy shopping and from the terraces you can watch the activities in the Venetian harbor.
When you arrive (regardless of the time of day) we are there to inform you about the use of the accommodation and the details of the area. We are available 24 hours a day to answer any questions you may have.
There is ample parking space with your stay. Behind the houses is a vegetable garden for our guests, where tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and various herbs grow. Guests can also use our picking garden. There are various fruit trees in this orchard. When the fruit is ripe, we would like to invite our guests to enjoy the delicious fruit. Oranges, pears, lemons, figs, peaches, etc.
It is not allowed to smoke inside.
