Kea, also known as Tzia, is one of the closest islands to Athens. There are 3 to 4 ferry boats going to and from the Island every day. As there are few hotels on the island, mostly private homes are rented out in the summer months. Most of these homes are built from local stone, giving Kea its unique architecture. This charming house, is part of a small and private development ( 7 houses ), traditionally built with local-rusted colored stone, all located on the top of the rocky bay of Koundouros, surrounded by rich greenery. It is the heart of the very unique windmill scenery of Koundouros Bay. The house is ideal for two couples, or a family with two children who want tranquility and direct access to the sea, whilst having the possibility to explore the island’s history ( archeological museum, ancient temple ruins, ancient footpaths ) , hidden beaches and rich nature ( royal oak forest ). The house is walking distance from the pebble beach of the bay and from the crystal blue waters just below the house.
The property has been tastefully and stylishly decorated giving one a feeling of peace and tranquility. The living room, which has a large corner sofa and dining area open directly on to the terrace with its breathtaking view of the Aegean. Near the dining area is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with all the amenities one might need. Leading off the living room is the master bedroom with a king size bed and an amazing sea view, a second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with a shower.
Outside the living room is a large terrace offering an amazing sea view. You can sit on one of the deck chairs and hear the waves gently breaking on the rocks below. Part of the terrace is covered by a pergola, covering the outdoor dining area and barbecue area. At the end of the terrace is a private access to the sea. On the rock platform below there is an umbrella and chairs.
The house will be de-sanitized, including the air-conditioning units before guests arrive and after their departure.
