Positive: Everything was wonderful. The beautiful rooms and patio, the breakfast, the location on the s9ft sandy beach and the onsite restaurant. The city center was an easy 30 minute walk from the hotel. The extremely helpful staff and owners/management. Excellent value for money.

Negative: This comment refers to the island of Lemnos lack of public transportation and minimum taxi service--beware and prepare. This has nothing to do with Platy Beach Hotel which was wonderful! When I arrived at the airport there were no taxis. Several passengers were waiting, finally one taxi arrived and we all shared the one taxi. When i departed by ferry at 0100 (1am in the morning), there were no taxis available as the few on the island ended the day at 11pm. The Platy Beach Hotel was able to arrange a taxi to take me to the ferry at 11pm where i waited outside at night for 2 hours for the ferry arrival.
