Here you will find a charming little ribbon of shoreline for a refreshing dip in the sea, a good minimarket, a friendly local coffee shop, a couple of laid-back bars, family-run boat hire and, of course, an idyllic location in which to enjoy a lazy lunch or (perhaps even lazier?) evening meal at one of the candlelit waterside tavernas.
Home to several of the island’s prettiest beaches and coves this swathe of pretty Corfiot coastline has a somewhat timeless quality. Fringed by woodland and with some of the clearest seawater to be found, nearby Kerasia (3.4km) and Avlaki (1.9km) also have a couple of respected tavernas right next to the beach.
Keen walkers will find plenty of quiet footpaths to explore amongst the undulating, verdant landscape and plenty of scenic vantage points from which to admire the fascinating, ever-changing procession of watercraft that parades up and down the Ionian Channel.
