Villa Malia is located in the heart of the Cycladic island of Syros and stands out for its unique style, colours and fantastic view.
From the surrounding terraces and the infinity pool, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the island and the sea.
The location is in a quiet place, but Syros` beaches and lively town Ermoupoli are easily accessible by a short car drive. It`s also a nice starting point for hiking.
The villa is suitable for six people but can accommodate two additional guests.
Het land waarop ons huis is gebouwd heeft een oppervlakte van 5000 m2 en de interne oppervlakte van het huis is 200m2. Bij aankomst kom je op een ruime privéparkeerplaats die leidt naar de goed verlichte entree.
In de patio bij de ingang groeien een hibiscusplant en een geurige jasmijn aan de zijkanten van de brede treden die naar de voordeur leiden. Het omliggende terrein telt 23 olijfbomen, waarvan we onze eigen olijfolie produceren, verschillende rozemarijnplanten en andere lokale Cycladische flora.
Brede terrassen omringen de hele villa, die zowel zonnige plekjes als schaduw bieden onder de bamboe pergola`s. De hoofdveranda is uitgerust met een grote eettafel met fauteuils. Hier kom je ook bij het overloopzwembad van 40m2. Het is de perfecte plek om overdag te genieten van het spectaculaire uitzicht van de villa, maar ook `s nachts dankzij de discrete buitenverlichting. Naast het zwembad ligt een zonneterras met een grote parasol, ligbedden en een buitendouche.
Binnen in de villa is er een ruime woonkamer met airconditioning, grote ramen, een hoog plafond en openslaande deuren naar de veranda. Het meubilair bestaat uit een vierzitsbank, twee fauteuils en een salontafel.
Verbonden met de woonkamer is de studeerkamer met een houten bureau en een slaapbank voor twee extra gasten.
De eetkamer met volledig uitgeruste keuken is verbonden met de woonkamer via een brede oplopende trap (van 3 treden). In de eetkamer staat een 8-persoons houten eettafel. De deur in de eetkamer opent naar de eettafel buiten.
Op de benedenverdieping van het huis bevinden zich drie tweepersoonsslaapkamers, twee badkamers en een apart toilet. De ouderslaapkamer heeft een tweepersoonsbed met een plafondventilator erboven. Het is ook mogelijk om hier op verzoek een babybedje te plaatsen. De andere twee slaapkamers hebben beide twee eenpersoonsbedden, die op verzoek kunnen worden samengevoegd. Alle kamers hebben airconditioning en een ingebouwde kast. De ijzeren frames van de bedden zijn gemaakt door een plaatselijke smid.
De grotere badkamer is uitgerust met een ligbad met douche, twee wastafels met een grote spiegel en onderkastjes en een wasmachine. Naast de badkamer is er een apart toilet. De andere badkamer is uitgerust met een douche, een toilet en een enkele wastafel met een spiegel en een kastje eronder.
Er zijn radiatoren door het hele huis voor bezoek tijdens de koudere periodes. Er is WIFI ontvangst in alle kamers van het huis. Hoewel aangesloten op het elektriciteitsnet, wordt de stroom volledig opgewekt door onze eigen zonnepanelen, waardoor het huis CO2-neutraal is.
De gasten mogen het hele huis gebruiken.
Het wordt aanbevolen om niet in de kelder te komen waar alle elektromechanische apparatuur van het zwembad en de verwarmingsketel staan. Ook de toegang tot het dak is om veiligheidsredenen verboden.
Als we je mobiele nummer hebben, zal Giannis bij aankomst in de haven of op het vliegveld van Ermoupolis contact met je opnemen en je instructies geven over hoe je het huis kunt bereiken.
Giannis zorgt al voor het huis sinds het gebouwd is en kent alle details. Je kunt op elk moment van de dag contact met hem opnemen als je vragen hebt over het huis. Hij komt sowieso elke vroege ochtend langs om het zwembad schoon te maken (tussen 07:00-07:30), maar je hoeft je geen zorgen te maken omdat hij erg stil en discreet is.
Je kunt ook altijd via een bericht contact opnemen met de host, Eva. Ze zal je zo snel mogelijk antwoorden.
