The space
The house has its own private entrance with a staircase from the side. It has two bedrooms, thus would be ideal for 3-4 people. The house also has a combined living room and kitchen / dining area and one bathroom. The sofa bed in the living room is comfortable and could accommodate an additional person. The house is ideal for families with kids or couples, but everyone is welcome!
Guest access
The house also has its own backyard garden with aloe trees, as seen in the photos. Guests have that area at their full disposal, as it is not shared with anyone else. Suggestions include eating dinner by the garden, sunbathing during the day, or just enjoying the relaxing environment.
Furthermore, the master bedroom has its own small balcony, which faces to the front side and has views of the main road and the hill of Platanias. The balcony has a seating area with chairs and a round table. It enjoys views of the hustle and bustle of the touristy resort of Platanias and is ideal for having breakfast and people watching. The neighbourhood
The house is located in the centre of the Platanias resort area, one of the most famous places in Western Crete. There are many shops in the area, including multiple supermarkets, pharmacies, cafes, bars, beach bars, restaurants, and even playgrounds for children. The house is located just 100 meters from the beach and has seaside views.
Getting around
There is both a bus stop and a taxicab stand just down the road from the apartment (20m). Τhe bus to the city centre of Chania runs very frequently, every 15min, and the bus line runs along the coastline.
There is also another taxicab stand in the main plaza of Platanias, around 150 meters from the house.
How to get here from the airport of Chania (CHQ):
- By bus:
the bus stop is right outside the Airport. Take the Airport – Chania Bus Station route.
When you reach the main Chania Bus Station, change to the Chania -Platanias route.
Approximate cost is 5-7 euros/person.
Total journey time is around 60 minutes.
- By Taxi
: the taxi station is located right outside the Airport.
Cost is around 40-45€.
Total journey time is around 35 minutes.
- With rented car: the house is on the main road, so should be easy to find. You can always call us to come meet you somewhere nearby.
- Pickup from the airport could be negotiated and arranged, in case of necessity.
