In the private grounds of Archontiko tis Ioanna’s, there are two buildings dating from 1870. The villas have their own unique atmosphere and have played a leading role in the history and culture of the village.
Those who rent the Villas have a perfect solution to a shared family holiday. Each family has its own villa, so while sharing the outdoor facilities, if needed can spend time alone in their own accommodation. The first villa includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and kitchen. There is a delightful view from the roof terrace across the village and to the countryside beyond. . All the furniture in the Villa has recently been refurbished.
The second villa includes two bedroom, (one of which is in the loft and has access to it via stairs), two bathrooms, living room and kitchen with dining area. The bedrooms in the 2 villas consist of 2 double beds, 4 single beds and a queen size bed. There is also a sofa that makes into a bed. . All the furniture in the Villa has recently been refurbished.
The property has all the characteristics of a traditional Cretan village house, but has been furnished in a modern minimalistic style. This will allow you to have the comfort and convenience of today's lifestyle intermingled with a little taste of Crete's history and culture.
Entry through the front door brings you into the living room which has been tastefully furnished and has a sofa that folds out to provide extra sleeping accommodation. The kitchen/dining area is at the opposite end of the room and a staircase takes you up to the first floor. Here you find the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, fitted wardrobes and a dressing table. The staircase continues into the loft where there is a further bedroom with a double bed, fitted wardrobes and dressing table.
Internally the house has been equipped to a high standard and includes such features as a fully fitted kitchen and for your entertainment a home cinema system, internet and satellite TV (Including Greek TV Channels). There is wifi internet and access to Viber. Guests have the free use of bicycles throughout their stay.
Externally there is a very pleasant court yard filled with mature plants and trees -a perfect place to sit and relax during the long, warm summer evenings. Also situated in the courtyard for your enjoyment is a swimming pool.
Time spent in these villas will give you the perfect opportunity to experience the true Cretan lifestyle. Pigi is a traditional working village where the inhabitants go about their daily business in the same way as they did many years ago. The village has two traditional bakeries, two mini-markets, two tavernas both serving local cuisine and a pharmacy. In fact everything you need to make your time spent there truly memorable.
