This is a super little holiday villa set in a quiet mountain village, surrounded by the sounds of crickets, chickens, goats and the occasional stray tourist. Small, modest and decorated to suit your comforts. The villa has views over the mountains and is set on a private domaine. The pool is shared between 4 other villas who are hardly ever there, no children ever seen or heard! The Villa has a front garden and seating area with a parking space for one car. The front entrance leads you into an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, fridge, cooker, hob, microwave and some marigolds for the washing up! There is a small table with chairs, a two seat sofa bed and a chair bed, ideal for a party overflow!! Downstairs wc. The Patio doors lead to the sunny back garden/terrace, a great area to enjoy your morning coffee whilst contemplating the days events. Your direct neighbour is a stunning vegetable patch growing some weird and wonderful greenery. Upstairs there is a large, bright and very cosy bedroom, all inclusive with a sun terrace ideal for catching the afternoon rays whilst sipping a nice cold glass of something refreshing. Shower and wc en suite. Air conditioning upstairs and down. No TV. Wifi can be obtained from the local teverna situated 5 minutes around the corner who additionally serve super food, and a village shop another minute away. All the surrounding villages have very good restaurants, shops along with very friendly people. The area is surrounded by beautiful wild scenery and dramatic mountains, all of which can be enjoyed through a multitude of different activities such as: hiking, cycling, sailing, bungee jumping, snorkling, diving etc. The nearest coastal village is Almiridia, only a 5 km drive down the hill. Almiridia is a seaside village with outstanding restaurants, lovely clean beaches, warm blue sea, including areas with sunbeds to hire for 3 euro a day! Interesting boutiques and shops, supermarkets, facilities to hire, diving equipment, catamarins, bikes, and cars. Nearest airport is Chania, 20 k drive and nearest port is Souda 15 k drive. The main Crete airport is Heraklion which is a good 2 hours drive along the motorway. Chania is a divine coastal city awaiting your discovery!
