If you wish, you can also hire a car from Heraklion airport or the bus station in Chania. Another option is to fly to Athens. From here there is a flight to Chania six times a day, it takes 45 minutes. From Athens you can also take a short sea trip and take the ferry to Souda. The ferry takes about eight hours, and from Souda you can be in the apartment in a quarter of an hour by taxi or rental car.
